Archiving Members from 2021 Season

USDBF is beginning to  archive 2021 members who have not paid the 2022 membership fees. Once members have been archived, their profile is removed from the current season, but their information remains in the system. In order to become active again, a returning member will need to go to the membership page and select the RETURNING MEMBER Option at the bottom of the page. 

USDBF ANNUAL MEETING

Members are invited to join the AGM via Zoom on Saturday. The meeting begins at 9:00 am EDT. See details.

Membership Renewal stickers

2022 renewal stickers will be mailed within the next 3 weeks to USDBF Members in good standing (2022 dues are PAID) who joined in 2021 or earlier. This sticker should be applied to your membership card. Members who joined in 2022 will NOT need this sticker.

New Ombuds for USDBF

Our new Organizational Ombuds will act as a trusted intermediary between USDBF and its stakeholders. The USDBF Office of the Ombuds is a confidential, independent, impartial and informal problem-solving and conflict management resource serving the USDBF paddling community. 

USDBF Competition & Technical Committee is currently seeking to expand its membership

The USDBF Competition & Technical Committee supports race production of US National Championships. Candidates interested in joining this committee should be experienced International and National paddlers, coaches, race officials and/or race organizers. Applicants should have experience at IDBF World Championship events and US National Championships to be considered for committee membership.

CCWC Berths Available

The USDBF Competition and Technical Committee currently has two berths available for Club Crew World Championships July 15 – 24, 2022. Available berths include: - Senior B Women Standard Boat - BCS Standard Boat Clubs interested in being consider for available berths should submit the Club racing resume to competition@usdbf.org no later than close of business May 13, 2022. Please note petition fees will apply.

Team USA Coaches Announced

Coaches for Team USA have been selected for the World Dragon Boat Racing Championships Scheduled to be held in the summer of 2023 in Hong Kong, China.

International Race Official Course Grade 1

Where: Nathan Benderson Park; Sarasota, FL, USA When: Saturday, July 16, 2022 Time: 9 AM to 4 PM Fee: USD $150 All Grade 1 candidates have to be recommended by their National Federation.

CCWC Bulletin #2

The United States Dragon Boat Federation (USDBF) in conjunction with the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF), cordially invite Club Crews from around the world to participate in the 13th IDBF Club Crew World Dragon Boat Championships, which will be held at Nathan Benderson Park (NBP) located in Sarasota, Florida. Team arrival and training will be held Friday, July 15th to Monday, July 18th. Competition will be held from Tuesday, July 19 to Sunday, July 24, 2022.
